What Does This Mod Do?
Reduced Noise Modification
The stock CS-3 is often criticised for adding noticeable hiss, particularly at higher sustain settings.
This modification replaces several key components in the audio path with higher quality alternatives to help reduce background noise and improve overall clarity.
Fat Body (Ross) Modification
One of the most popular CS-3 modifications ever developed. The Fat Body Mod improves low-frequency response and produces a fuller, more natural compression character inspired by vintage Ross-style compressors.

Can My Boss Pedal Be Modded?
This modification is only available for older CS-3 pedals built with through-hole components. Newer pedals use surface-mount (SMD) components that are too small and densely packed to modify safely, so this service isn’t currently available for them.
